Quiet Husband
Quiet Husband is the electronic music alias of British artist Richie Culver, marking his foray into techno as an extension of his interdisciplinary practice. This project operates within the affective registers of sound: repetition, distortion, and sonic density. His productions via Industrial Coast, Drowned By Locals, and Deathbed Tapes situate themselves at the intersection of industrial, noise, and contemporary club culture, foregrounding techno not merely as a genre but as a medium of research into rhythm, endurance, and the social architectures of listening. Recent sets at Berlin Atonal, The White Hotel and Berghain reflect the sonic landscape and identity of this project. Quiet Husband functions as both alter ego and critical experiment, expanding Culver's ongoing interrogation of how aesthetic forms mediate lived experience in late-capitalist Britain.
