Potnia Theron is a Berlin-based agency bridging the underground and the institutional. We represent a deliberately small roster of singular artists across electronic, experimental and audiovisual practice, building long-term careers across clubs, festivals, concert halls and museums. Rooted in Europe's club and festival circuits, we are expanding our presence worldwide. Our mission is to create the conditions in which ambitious artistic work can be made, can travel and can endure.
OUR APPROACH
Our work begins with artists, not formats. Alongside representation and booking, we work with artists to expand the possibilities of their practice: live and audiovisual performance, new collaborations, commissions, installations and institutionally presented projects. We often work in the space between artist and institution, identifying the right context for a work, building partnerships, shaping proposals and positioning projects for lasting international presentation. Securing individual engagements is part of the job, but never the whole of it.
WHAT WE DO
Artist Representation & Management Career strategy, international booking, negotiation and positioning, and the building of lasting relationships between artists and cultural partners.
Project Development & Curation New live, audiovisual and interdisciplinary works; artist collaborations; commissioning strategies; institutional partnerships; and new contexts in which established practices can evolve.
Creative Direction & Special Projects For selected commissions, we work with festivals, cultural institutions and partners on artistic concepts, curatorial direction and project development, drawing on a tailored circle of specialist creative and production collaborators.
THE ROSTER
Each artist we represent is a singular voice, from techno innovators and A/V creators to experimental composers and live performers. We keep the roster small and selective, drawn to work that can move between a club night, a festival stage and a museum without losing its identity. This allows Potnia Theron to act both as an agency for individual artists and as a platform where new projects and relationships take shape.
WORKING WITH US
For artists: we work with artists whose practice is distinctive and whose ambitions are long-term. If that describes you, we would be glad to hear from you.
For festivals, museums, commissioners and partners: we welcome conversations about artist bookings, new commissions, co-productions, curated programmes and long-term project development.
