Ukrainian techno pioneer Stanislav Tolkachev readies his fourth album, ‘It Will Be Too Late Then’, dropping on Krill Music in late May.
With a career spanning over a decade, Stanislav Tolkachev’s consistency as a producer is indisputable. The prolific artist’s ability to think outside the box is unrivalled and his experimental work has appeared on many respected imprints, including M_Rec, Semantica, MORD and Geophone. Berlin-based label Krill Music, originally founded six years ago in Buenos Aires, now prepares to release the producer’s nine track long player ‘It Will Be Too Late Then’ – Tolkachev’s second appearance on the label following a track on Krill’s Habitat VA series in 2015. The album will be pressed in Argentina to support the growth of the Latin American vinyl industry.
Spider-esque melodies inaugurate the release in ‘Ball of fire’ before clattering percussion generates a heightening tension in ‘OK. U can mix this one’, leading into the cavernous and murky ‘Draw me a seal’ and its various machine inspired sounds. Tough kicks and twisted arpeggios form the chaotic ‘Double damage’, making way for a rumbling roller titled ‘The dirty water’.
Tracks like the meandering ‘Truth be told’ demonstrate Tolkachev’s ability to transport listeners into otherworldly territories with its cacophony of intricately placed notes whilst the ominous ‘This game has no name’ possesses sinister stabs and echoing effects. Nearing the end, ‘Curly’ earns its name courtesy of a medley of winding keys until ‘You spoil everything’ concludes the package with raw drums, purring bass and a subterranean aesthetic.

Liziuz is a new name emerging from the contemporary Berlin electronic underground. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Liziuz has isolated himself in solitude, meticulously crafting long-form landscapes that are simultaneously both industrial and psychedelic.
After a series of committed live performances in Europe Liziuz is set to deliver his stunning album debut for Hospital Productions for the public. ‘Geschichten des Lebens’ is presented on two discs with two interpretations of the same epic track, one in ambient form and one in techno form--an album that requires patience with deep rewards.
It is great pleasure to welcome LIZIUZ to the artist roster of POTNIA THERON.

Drew McDowall presents “Time Machines” Live will make its European debut for CTM Festival 2018 – Turmoil in Berlin. Drew's reinterpretation of Coil's irrevocably intoxicating album takes place at Berghain on January 30th, 2018. The “Time Machines” live performance commemorates 20th anniversary of Coil’s masterpiece and its reissue on Dais Records.
"Scottish musician Drew McDowall will give the European premiere of his solo, "revisited" version of the legendary Coil masterpiece Time Machines, which still packs a punch today as a classic of late-20th-century drone and ritual music. McDowall has shaped the fates of several influential bands over a span of many decades – he was a member of Psychic TV in the 1980s and a long-term member of esoteric avant-industrial collective Coil starting in the late 80s and early 90s. He and fellow band member John Balance conceived of the Time Machines album as a tool through which its listeners might be able to escape the present and the self – in their words, "music cures you of time" – and eventually compared the power of its sound to psychotropic substances. The performance commemorates the album’s reissue on Dais Records this past fall, twenty years after it first went out into the world. "

"Phase Fatale, a New York-born, Berlin-based techno artist, proudly wears the influence of his city's industrial techno lineage. His productions pack the jittery punch of classic EBM, updated with the production sheen of modern techno. His DJ sets have a stylistic breadth that you might not have heard at a Klubnacht a few years ago. (See October's RA podcast.) Phase Fatale's tracks bring different rhythms and feelings into techno. The predatory lunge of "Operate Within" or the Ministry-like creep of "Human Shield," both taken from his Redeemer LP released this year on Hospital Productions, feature industrial-influenced arrangements that slot right in with techno."
The Empire Line (Jonas Rönnberg a.k.a. Varg, Posh Isolation’s Christian Stadsgaard & Isak Hansen a.k.a. Iron Sight) debut LP "RAVE" on Northern Electronics arriving on 19.02.2018
📌 Don't miss The Empire Line & Shifted Live @Berghain / Panorama Bar this weekend December 16, 2017 http://berghain.de/event/2226 📌
Comprised of Posh Isolation’s Christian Stadgaard (Damien Dubrovnik, Vanity Productions), Jonas Rönnberg (Varg), and with Isak Hansen (Iron Sight) on tantrums, the trio’s marauding live shows have been translated into a slippery set of pummelling techno works, watermarked with florid noise.
‘Rave’ is a celebration of contemporary rave culture, focused on the everlasting and transcendent as the night slips out past the day. With living-for-the-weekend hedonism irretrievably converted into a manicured, violent cliché, building new worlds and forging new modes of intimacy takes an exceptional sincerity. Naming some of the crews closest to The Empire Line in the album’s titles, their spaces are examples of just how rave culture persists as a transgressive stronghold in people’s lives.
Ranging from k-hole anthems to jacking, close-range sessions, ‘Rave’ still bears the traces of the group’s experimental background, ensuring the tension is kept up through the catharsis.
